The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced the result of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I examination with 58.52 percent pass percentage.

The board, which has federal schools and colleges in its jurisdiction, declared that 31,903 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 18,671 have been declared successful with the pass percentage standing at 58.52 percent.

According to details, 7074 candidates have passed six papers, 3516 passed four papers, 1694 passed three papers, 688 passed two papers and 155 candidates passed just one paper while 78 candidates were declared fail in all papers. Results of 27 candidates have been withheld.

The candidates failing in one or more papers may reappear in the same along with papers of HSSC Part-II annual examination 2005.

Applications for re-checking of papers will be received within 30 days of declaration of result i.e up to August 30.

Earlier, the result of HSSC Part-II was announced on Tuesday July 27, showing pass percentage standing at 78.01 percent. 27,045 candidates were declared successful out of 34,768 candidates.
